Create a stunning feature in any room by adding leather wall panels all handmade to the size and style you want, and available in anything from full aniline and embossed leathers to cowhide or fabric. Below are some examples of projects we have completed:
PROJECT: Leather Wall Panels, Residential, Cambridge:
A 6mtr office wall clad in leather panels incorporating a discreet drinks cabinet with internal lighting.
PROJECT: Leather panels surrounding TV and sound bar, Nottingham:
Once the ply-wall had been prepared and manufactured to fit around the TV/bracket and sound bar, the panels could be produced and covered in leather to fix to it. Stitching in a contrast colour was applied to the central panels to add some detail.
PROJECT: Sliding Walls with leather panels, South Place Hotel, London:
Leather panels applied to sliding doors in the conference/function rooms. The same leather was used for additional leather panels across the back wall in a further function room.
PROJECT: Croc-effect leather panels around fish tank, Essex:
As well as making and covering the leather panels for walls and doors, we also manufacture the sub-structure onto which the panels are assembled, that way we get each panel to fit perfectly around every corner, door frame or window.
HIDE AND STITCH LEATHER WALL PANELS – THE PROCESS
The process is very simple. We visit site to assess the wall or doors to be panelled, discuss the style and size of panels required and provide leather samples and images of how the completed wall panels would look on completion.
Whether it’s a new build or refurbishing an existing property, the manufacturing and fitting is not so different. If adding leather panels in a new build, we have the advantage of being able to work with electricians and other tradesmen to ensure that the light and power fittings are in the correct positions prior to starting the framework for the leather panels. If it is an existing wall, we would simply mark out and work around fittings as we progress.
A slim sub-structure is applied to the wall sections to be panelled, incorporating a ‘push-fit’ system for applying each leather board – boards can then be easily removed and replaced if damaged or worn over time.
We also work on a supply only basis, so should you already have the framework in place, or have employed others to complete this part of the work, we can simply supply the leather boards for fitting.
You can achieve a variety of dramatic interior styles with leather walls and doors: from the sophisticated country house library with an aged aniline leather, to the cool penthouse open living space using whites and lighter shades.
Commissioning Hide and Stitch to complete your work means employing a professional team that you can trust to finish the work to the highest of standards.
